About usStarfish Consulting is owned by Paul Ratcliffe who "cut his teeth" as a Marketing Manager with GE where he trained at their US centre of excellence in Crotonville CT. In 1986, Paul co-founded Talking Point, one of the UK's largest full service agencies. Talking Point had offices in Maidenhead and Chicago with almost 70 full time employees. Paul set up the Chicago office in 1997 and sold it to the management team in 2002. Talking Point Inc. is still operating successfully today. Paul sold his shares in Talking Point's UK business to BCD Travel in 2006 and, after taking a couple of years off, decided to form a new business, Starfish Consulting, which has allowed Paul to share his wealth of experience and knowledge with agencies who wish to expand their business. With a corporate background and armed with a full understanding of all aspects of event management services for a range of clients from Accenture to SmithKline Beecham, Paul is well placed to provide expert guidance. Subject to each clients requirements, Paul will work within their pre-agreed budgets. His rates are a fraction of those charged by other non- specialist management consultants.
